John McGarry is a Director in Consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and is based in Cork. He joined PwC in 2011 and sits in PwC's government team. Over the past 30 years, he has worked on a wide range of consulting projects spanning economics, strategy, organisation capability, operational and process review, governance and risk, change and programme management and across most sectors of the economy.
He holds an MA (Econ) and BA (History & Economics) from UCC, a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance (awarded by the ACCA) and in 2023 completed a short course in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge.
He was previously a Director of the Foundation for Fiscal Studies. He is a Fellow, Certified Management Consultant (Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers). John has a keen interest in statistics and economic policy and has worked on many projects making use of CSO data.
